| Here is an original issue Johan 1967 Cadillac Deville convertible. This is kit #1567 only issued in 1967 I pro built this 44 year old model using Cadillac factory color Atlantis Blue Firemist. The interior is done in Cadillac Med Blue, finished to look like leather. I applied scale size plush carpet that is fitting for a Cadillac. Extensive foil work was done on the interior using reference material from a real car. Steering wheel has the crest added weatherstripping in black runs between the doors and body and up the wing windows. The exterior is foiled where needed, hubcaps have the crests painstakingly hand painted. Crests were also added to the hood and trunk. Paint was air brushed and wet sanded, then polished to a glass finish. Photo etched door locks, and electric antenna pod were applied also for better realism, along with 1967 Minnesota plates. Note, Minnesota used the same plate from 1965 through 1967 using year stickers. These depict the plate with the red 67 sticker attached. This 44 year old beauty came in near mint condition with chrome like new. The engine is done box stock painted in the correct Cadillac blue. this rare kit shows what I think was one of the cleanest years for Cadillac. The 429 CI. engine had plenty of torque to move the beast at any speed with ease. sheer luxury from a by gone era. |
