| Here we have a pro built 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Seville hardtop in 1/25th scale. I did this car in the factory colors of Persian Sand and Olympic White. The model has all the bells and whistles added. They include factory air bag suspension, air conditioning, electric windows, seats,antenna,cruise control, and much more. There were only about 955 of these Eldorado Sevilles made in 1959, they were very expensive for the time. It was said that you could purchase 4 brand new full size Chevys for the price of this one car. The Eldorado is identified by its broad chrome side panels. This car took me countless hours mainly because of all the detailing and gadgets that were on the car. The interior is done in white to simulate white leather. There is much foiling done inside on the door panels and dash. It has a color matching two tone steering wheel. The outside was airbrushed in Persian Sand lacquer and clear coated. The vinyl top is Olympic White. Cadillac must of been one of the first to use vinyl tops on their cars. The engine bay has all the detail of the real car. Air conditioning components,the compressor for the air bag suspension, washer bottle, horns, factory 3 deuce carb setup, it is wired with Arrowhead Aluminum distributor and wires, plus many other parts to vast to mention. The chassis is nicely detailed. A lot of Bare Metal Foil was used throughout this build. 1959 Minnesota license plates were added. The electric antenna hole is a photo etched item, shown in the down position. |
