Pro Built AMT Original Issue 1958 Pontiac Bonneville
A Picture Gallery Kit #6PK
Pictures may be enlarged or supersized
Here we have two AMT original issue 1958
Pontiac Bonnevilles only produced in 1958, and
never reissued. These are from the kit # 6PK.
The cars were painted in reef shell pink and
graystone white and iris and graystone white.
These were both GM factory colors for that
year.

Both models were completely restored. All the
chrome work was replated. The iris car was
laden with louvers and holes, and was missing
the windshield frame. As you can see by the
before picture, the pink car was not quite as
bad. On the pink car I built it with low profile
tires and rims from a AMT Black Force model. I
also offered the stock tires and wheels.

On the iris car I offered the fender skirts. Clips
were fashioned to the backs of them so they
could be removed. They were both sold with
the original boxes and instruction sheets. I
always really liked this body style when they
first came out. This Pontiac was considered
quite a rocket in 1958.
