| 1956 Buick Super Claret Red with Cameo Beige From Gonzo's Pro Built Model Cars |

| Here we have a 1/25th scale 1956 Buick Super. The starting basis for this comes from a Hendrix Mfg. Resin kit. He casts some nice stuff over in his Saint Paul MN. shop. I airbrushed this in the 1956 Buick colors Claret Red Poly and Cameo Beige. It was hand rubbed, but no clear was added as in the 50's they did not clearcoat. This is a real standout color combo. I added Modelhaus wide white walls, and Kelsey Hayes wire wheels. All exterior chrome is done with Bare Metal Foil. The bumpers were chromed at Little Motor Kar Co. The interior is done in colors matching the exterior to simulate leather. The carpet is black scale carpeting. All detail is foiled as well. This was one of the great rides from 1956. |
