1955 Desoto Fireflite
From Gonzo's Pro Built
I started with a resin kit from
Hendrix Mfg. A nice clean
substantial casting in odorless
resin. This is a  complete
curbside kit. The brightwork is
not plated so that was sent out to
Little Motor Kar for plating.

I airbrushed this one in Carnival
Red And white. The interior was
done to simulate red and white
leather, the Powerflite shifter
was added to the dashboard as
well as the correct clock that sits
on the dash top. Nice detail on
steering wheel and gauges,
Foiled where needed and sports
black carpet.

The exterior is hand polished to
a brilliant shine. Foiled
extensively, and a touch of photo
etched pieces on the door and
trunk locks and the eights above
the vee's on the rear quarters. A
steel antenna and mirror were
added also. The floating grill is
my favorite item, and the wide
roof chrome across the front. The
rear shows 50's style fan exhaust
extensions found often on the
Desoto. Last but not least 1955
Minnesota license plates. Check
the pictures closely on this gem.
