Here we have a 1955 Ford
Mainline with a correct 223ci.
inline 6 cyl. engine, done in
1/25th scale.  I started with a
Ford Customline fine resin kit
from Hendrix Mfg. I remastered it
into a Mainline. This was Fords
base model. It came with no
frills, and cost around 1700.00 in
1955. everything was an option.
This one has a radio as the only
add on.

Check out the correct I-6 engine,
this produced 120hp. I split the
manifold to give it dual exhausts,
a popular thing to do in the 50's,
giving it a distinct sound and bit
more power. Note the detail right
down to the dipstick. On the
body, the trim above the tailights
was painted the body color.
Chrome trim there was optional
with a reflector, or if you ordered
the backup lights. This is a base
Plain Jane.

See the rubber molding around
the windows, also note the green
speedo window only used in 55.
